Job Description
Job Summary Kansai is a Asian Bistro restaurant specializing in Korean and Japanese cuisine. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional guest service, with experience in the food industry. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring guests have an enjoyable dining experience by delivering high-quality service and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. Duties Greet and seat guests promptly while providing menus and information about daily specials. Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all guest preferences are noted. Serve food and drinks to guests in a timely manner, ensuring presentation meets our standards. Assist with bussing tables and sanitizing dining areas to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards. Engage with guests to enhance their dining experience through excellent guest relations and upselling techniques. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication regarding orders and special requests. Adhere to food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of our guests. Handle guest inquiries, concerns, or complaints professionally, providing solutions as needed. Skills Strong knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards. Excellent guest relations skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with guests and team members. A team player who is willing to help colleagues as needed to ensure overall success of the service team. Knowledge of Korean and Japanese cuisine is preferred but is not necessary.
