Job Summary:
We're seeking an experienced, customer-focused Head Server to lead the dining room team, deliver exceptional guest experiences, and support front-of-house operations. The Head Server will mentor servers, maintain service standards, handle guest issues, and work closely with management to optimize flow and sales.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and coach the server team to ensure consistent, high-quality service and adherence to restaurant standards. Greet and seat guests when needed; oversee station assignments and table turns. Train new servers on menu knowledge, service sequence, suggestive selling, POS usage, and etiquette. Coordinate with kitchen to ensure timely service. Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and complaints professionally to ensure satisfaction and retention. Assist with opening/closing procedures, side work, and daily setup/cleanup tasks. Monitor product knowledge, upselling, and suggestive selling to maximize check averages. Communicate service issues, inventory needs, and staff performance to management. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service regulations.
Qualifications:
3+ years of serving experience; 1+ year in a supervisory or lead role preferred, bartending experience. Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills. Proficient with POS systems. Able to work a flexible schedule including morning, nights, weekends, and holidays. Energetic, professional, and guest-focused attitude; ability to multitask under pressure.
