Job Summary We are on the lookout for a friendly and attentive Restaurant Server to join our vibrant sushi restaurant team. In this role, you'll be the face of our establishment, creating memorable dining experiences through excellent guest service and a deep knowledge of our menu. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience. Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted. Serve food and beverages promptly, including sushi, cocktails, wine, spirits, and other menu items. Upsell menu items like specialty rolls or drinks to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales. Handle cash transactions accurately and process sales using POS systems while maintaining proper cash handling procedures. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety regulations. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and communicate guest preferences or allergies effectively. Requirements Previous experience in food service or hospitality is highly preferred, especially in sushi or fine dining environments. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable is a plus. Strong customer service skills with an energetic attitude and a genuine desire to serve guests well. Knowledge of food handling, sanitation standards, and food safety practices in the food industry. Ability to manage time efficiently during busy hours while maintaining attention to detail. Experience with wine knowledge, cocktail mixing, spirits, and food presentation enhances your candidacy. Basic math skills for cashiering and sales transaction processing are essential.
