In this vital role, you will serve nutritious meals with care and professionalism, ensuring a positive dining experience for residents in a supportive environment. Your energy and attention to detail will help foster a warm, welcoming atmosphere that promotes health, safety, and satisfaction. Duties Serve meals and beverages to residents in accordance with their dietary needs and preferences, adhering to all safety and sanitation standards. Assist with meal setup, presentation, and timely delivery to ensure a pleasant dining experience. Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, including tables, chairs, and serving stations, following sanitation protocols. Support residents during meals, providing courteous assistance while respecting their independence and dignity. Follow proper food handling procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure food safety and workplace safety. Collaborate with kitchen staff to communicate resident dietary requirements and special requests accurately. Engage positively with residents, fostering a friendly environment that encourages social interaction during mealtimes. Requirements Previous food service or waitstaff experience preferred; experience working with geriatric or assisted living populations is highly valued. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and safe lifting techniques. Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently during meal service. Strong time management skills to ensure timely delivery of meals in a fast-paced setting. Excellent customer service skills with a compassionate attitude towards residents' needs. Basic math skills for handling transactions or portioning food accurately. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely throughout shifts. Certification in CPR and familiarity with workplace safety regulations are advantageous.
