Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable. Serve food and drinks efficiently, ensuring proper presentation and timely delivery. Process sales transactions accurately, including cash handling and credit card payments. Upsell menu items such as specialty cocktails, wines, or desserts to enhance guest experience and increase sales. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols. Assist with food preparation or kitchen support when needed, demonstrating versatility in food industry skills. Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing questions about menu items like spirits or wine knowledge, accommodating special requests, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Support beverage service including cocktail mixing, drink presentation, and spirits experience to elevate the dining experience. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations during busy nights or special events like nightlife or fine dining nights. Skills Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a focus on guest relations. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms for processing orders and transactions. Strong knowledge of beverage service including cocktails, spirits, wine pairings, and drink presentation techniques. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during high-volume periods. Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining genuine customer engagement. Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing cash handling procedures. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. Experience working in fine dining settings or nightclubs is a plus for creating upscale guest experiences. Effective communication skills to coordinate seamlessly with kitchen staff and fellow servers. Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service by anticipating guest needs and resolving issues promptly.
