In this role, you'll be the key to ensuring our guests have a seamless dining experience by maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, efficiently delivering food, and supporting our servers. All roles are paid positions, offering valuable experience in the food service industry. Responsibilities Clear and clean tables promptly after guests leave, ensuring a tidy and inviting dining area. Assist in bussing tables by removing used dishes, glassware, and utensils while following proper cleaning procedures. Safely handle and transport food items from the kitchen to the dining area using safe lifting practices and manual handling techniques. Support food runners by delivering dishes quickly and accurately to guests' tables, ensuring proper presentation and temperature. Help with basic food handling tasks such as setting up stations, restocking supplies, and assisting with food preparation when needed. Maintain cleanliness of service stations, including wiping down surfaces and ensuring all areas meet food safety standards. Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to coordinate timely delivery of orders and guest needs. Experience Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided. Knowledge of safe lifting practices, heavy lifting techniques, and proper manual handling methods. Understanding of food safety standards, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures. Experience with food running, serving, or guest services enhances your ability to excel in this role. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and guests in person.
