• Ensure that patrons have an enjoyable dining experience
• Provide quality customer service
• Take orders
• Serve food and drinks
• Remove dinnerware from the table in a timely manner
• Cloth tables, set decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates, and utensils
• Adhere to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies
• Help patrons select food and beverages by offering cocktails and appetizers; suggest courses; explain the chef's specials; identify appropriate wines; answer food preparation questions
• Convey orders to the bar and kitchen by recording patrons' choices; identify patrons' special dietary needs and special requests
• Maintain table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to patron spills or other special needs
• Obtain revenues by totaling charges; issuing the bill; accepting payment; returning change or credit card and signature slip to patrons
