Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage reservations using OpenTable or similar systems to optimize seating flow. Take accurate food and beverage orders, utilizing POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen and bar staff. Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation. Assist with food running, bussing tables, and ensuring guest tables are promptly cleared and reset for new guests. Upsell menu items including cocktails, wines, spirits, and specialty dishes to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales. Process cash and credit card transactions accurately while handling cash safely and responsibly. Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing questions about menu items, dietary needs, or special requests with professionalism and enthusiasm. Skills Proven experience in food service roles such as server, host/hostess, or expo within fast-paced or fine dining environments. Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable reservation management. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and handle guest concerns gracefully. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. Ability to multitask effectively with strong time management skills in a lively restaurant setting. Culinary experience or beverage knowledge including wine expertise, cocktail mixing, spirits familiarity, and drink service techniques.
