Server The Lost Fire | Kennebunkport, Maine The Lost Fire is an upscale Argentinian steakhouse in Kennebunkport, Maine , known for exceptional wood-fired cooking, premium steaks, and warm, attentive hospitality. We are seeking experienced, polished, and hospitality-driven Servers to join our front-of-house team. Our Servers are an essential part of the guest experience. We are looking for professionals who understand elevated dining, take pride in their craft, and have a genuine passion for exceptional food, wine, and service. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable, personable, detail-oriented, and confident guiding guests through a sophisticated steakhouse experience. Responsibilities Provide polished, attentive, and highly personalized service from greeting through farewell. Develop a strong knowledge of our Argentinian-inspired menu, premium steaks, wood-fired cooking techniques, ingredients, and beverage program. Confidently guide guests through the menu, including steak selections, preparations, accompaniments, and Argentine-inspired specialties. Make thoughtful food, wine, and beverage recommendations based on each guest's preferences. Accurately enter and manage food and beverage orders using Toast POS. Maintain precise communication with the kitchen, bar, and front-of-house team. Anticipate guest needs and provide attentive, intuitive service without being intrusive. Maintain proper timing and pacing throughout the dining experience. Ensure impeccable table presentation and service standards throughout each course. Handle guest questions, requests, and concerns with professionalism and discretion. Accurately process payments and complete all opening, closing, and side-work responsibilities. Maintain a clean, organized, and refined dining environment. Work seamlessly with the service team to deliver a cohesive and memorable experience. Uphold The Lost Fire's standards for hospitality, professionalism, cleanliness, and attention to detail. Qualifications Previous professional serving experience is required. Experience in an upscale, fine-dining, steakhouse, or high-end hospitality environment is strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of professional dining room service and service etiquette. Genuine passion for food, wine, spirits, and hospitality. Interest in and willingness to learn about Argentine cuisine, steak, and wine. Excellent communication skills and a polished, professional presence. Ability to confidently describe menu items and make informed recommendations. Familiarity with Toast POS is preferred. Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and timing. Ability to anticipate guest needs and deliver gracious, intuitive service. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining elevated service standards. Dependable, punctual, and committed to being a strong team member.
