We are looking for a Server for Bar Publica in Portland, ME! PT/FT and AM/PM Shifts are available. The ideal candidate will be an individual with a passion for people and guest interaction, and providing a genuine experience in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining an upbeat attitude at all times. Also must possess a good knowledge of food, spirits, wine, and beer, as well as the ability to make suggestions based on guest needs. This is a high-energy environment, and that energy is expected to be maintained at all times.

Expectations for the position include:

TiPS certified Greets guests and presents Beverage / Food / Special Menus as applicable Makes food recommendations and suggestions to guests Enters guest orders directly into the POS system, prepares guest checks and processes payment Ensures satisfactory resolution to all guest issues; informing the MOD promptly & prior to the guest leaving, even if the issue has been "resolved" Adheres to all local and state laws regarding the service of alcohol and food (ID'ing / responsible alcohol service / service times / health and safety practices etc.) Ensures that section is maintained in an organized, clean and sanitary manner Keeps Service Stations areas clean, organized and stocked Ensures that all set-up and break-down tasks are completed to standard Cleans and maintains glassware, server utensils and server equipment Completes all general operational tasks to standard

COMPENSATION

Compensation for the role is $8.38 hour + tips

This position will report to the Bar Manager; as well the General Manager on a shift by shift basis as required / is applicable
