Expeditor/Food Runner Slows Bar BQ | Michigan Berkley, MI Job Details Part-time | Full-time 12 hours ago Qualifications Basic math Full Job Description The Expediter is responsible for the accurate plating and presentation of our menu items. It is the Expediter's responsibility to work collaboratively with the cooks to ensure the highest quality standards and presentation. Essential Duties Develop and maintain professional working relationships with Slows restaurant employees Knowledge of key terminology, abbreviations and methodologies Have full knowledge of menu items and proper food presentation Properly manage times while monitoring how long meals have been waiting to be served Clean and clear pass Managing the timely flow of meal orders from the kitchen to the dining room Demonstrate and comply with Slows uniform and appearance standards per SOP guidelines Have knowledge of promotions and specials Communication professionally with management, floor and kitchen staff Maintain a clean and stocked work area Accurate, clean and neat bagging of carryout orders Other job duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications At least 18 years old or older. Ability to read, and comprehend instructions, correspondence and memos. Basic math skills and the ability to problem solve. Previous restaurant experience preferred. Organization skills. Time management, and the ability to work in high pressure situations. Create and support an environment of teamwork by helping out in other areas as needed. Physical Demands Standing and walking majority of shift. Reach, bend, stoop, lift, carrylift carry and push various items. Frequent contact/immersion of hands in water, sanitation solutions, and meat, poultry, seafood and produce items. Frequently washing hands.
