Job Description
Purpose:
Railside Golf Club is a landmark in the Southwest Grand Rapids area while still holding on to the small-town charm of Byron Center. The club consists of an 18-hole golf course, a driving range, a swimming pool, a full-service clubhouse, The Union Pavilion, and a pro shop. All are here to provide for the recreational enjoyment of our members and guests. If you enjoy working as part of a team, have experience with customer service, and have a friendly attitude, we have the job for you. To help create an exceptional experience for our guests throughout their dining experience. You will be taking and serving food and drink orders, while also resolving guest issues as they arise.Duties and Responsibilities:
Strives to exceed the guest's expectations. Set restaurant tables and place settings. Knowledgeable in all areas of food, beverage, and service. Anticipate the guests' needs and provide each guest with a positive dining experience. Communicate clearly and effectively with your team. Maintain daily set up and/or breakdown of the restaurant by following the daily checklists. Fully understand and convey all food and beverage menus and specials to guests. Greet all guests in a friendly and positive manner. Make connections with your guests and create repeat business. Check section assignment and ensure all areas are set accordingly. Roll and fold lunch/dinner silverware. Verify the accuracy of the bill and present it to the guests. Handle all cash and credit card charges by the standard operating procedure. Complete assigned side work tasks according to the daily checklist. Run food and help others when needed. Pre-bus and bussing tables for maximum table turns. Always maintain a clean and professional environment. Directly follows and adherence to all policies in the employee handbook. Performs other duties as requested by management.Position Requirements:
