About The Social Brews The Social Brews is a Detroit bar and restaurant built around good food, a full bar, and a room that feels like the neighborhood's living room. Between a rotating menu, a busy bar program, and a steady calendar of events, no two shifts look exactly the same — and that's how we like it. About the Role As a Server, you'll be the face of the guest experience from the moment someone sits down to the moment they cash out happy. Six months in, you'll know the menu cold, read a table before they have to ask for anything, and be someone new hires look to for how it's done. What You'll Do Greet guests, walk them through the food and drink menu, and make recommendations that fit what they're looking for Take and enter orders accurately, and keep tables moving at a steady, unrushed pace Deliver food and drinks, check in at the right moments, and handle special requests or substitutions Process payments and close out tabs correctly, every time Communicate with kitchen and bar staff to keep orders on track and catch issues before guests notice them Keep your section clean, stocked, and guest-ready throughout the shift Pitch in on side work and support teammates during rushes
What We're Looking For Required:
6+ months of serving experience in a restaurant or bar setting Availability to work nights and weekends Comfortable on your feet for a full shift in a fast-paced room Strong communication skills with guests and teammates Basic math skills for handling payments and splitting checks
Preferred:
Familiarity with POS systems Experience with a full bar or beverage program Food handler's certification (or willingness to obtain one) Compensation & Benefits $8.00/hour base pay, plus tips Full-time and part-time schedules available Employee meal discounts A team that has your back during the rush How to Apply Ready to join the team?
