Overview Welcome to Bayside, a family-friendly summertime destination! With outdoor dining, summers are VERY busy with patrons enjoying great food, cold beer, sunshine and live music. For years, we've continued to deliver a unique, fun and comfortable dining experience in Fair Haven. We're proud to be a local family-favorite known for great food and great views overlooking Lake St. Clair! We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server with Bar knowledge to join our dynamic team in a fun, casual dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality and customer service, ensuring that each guest has an exceptional dining experience. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. You will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere, and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organization in the bar area. Enjoy creating memorable experiences for our guests! Duties Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner. Present menus and provide detailed information about food and beverage offerings. Take accurate orders and enter them into the POS system. Assist with food preparation as needed, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation. Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences. Handle cash transactions accurately, maintaining proper cash handling procedures. Provide attentive service throughout the dining experience, checking on guests regularly to ensure satisfaction. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including resetting tables for new guests. Assist with inventory management by tracking stock levels and notifying management of any shortages. Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including responsible alcohol service practices. Address any guest inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally. Qualifications Previous experience in a server role within a full-service restaurant is preferred. Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction. Familiarity with kitchen operations and food preparation techniques is advantageous. Proficiency in math for handling transactions and providing change accurately. Familiarity with various types of beverages, cocktails, and food industry standards. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
