Responsibilities Greet and welcome guests with a friendly demeanor, providing them with menus and information about daily specials. Take accurate food and drink orders using the Toast POS System, ensuring all requests are communicated effectively to the kitchen staff. Serve food and beverages promptly, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards throughout the service process. Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales, utilizing knowledge of fine dining practices. Monitor guest needs throughout their meal, ensuring timely refills on drinks and addressing any concerns or requests. Maintain cleanliness of the dining area by bussing tables, resetting them for new guests, and adhering to sanitation protocols. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and timely delivery of orders. Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change as needed. Skills Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and satisfaction. Experience with POS Systems Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy shifts. Ability to upsell menu items effectively while maintaining a friendly approach. Basic math skills for cash handling and processing transactions accurately. Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices in the food industry. Previous experience in restaurant settings, including serving or host/host roles, is advantageous.
