Responsibilities Greet and welcome guests with a friendly demeanor, ensuring they feel valued and attended to. Take accurate food and beverage orders using Toast systems, ensuring all requests are communicated effectively to the kitchen staff. Provide detailed menu knowledge, including daily specials, ingredients, and preparation methods to assist guests in making informed choices. Upsell menu items and promote specials to enhance the guest experience and increase sales. Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining attention to detail in presentation and accuracy. Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience, addressing any concerns or requests promptly. Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change as needed. Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including bussing tables, resetting for new guests, and adhering to sanitation standards. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery while maintaining communication regarding any special requests or dietary restrictions. Assist with training new staff members in service protocols and restaurant procedures as needed. Requirements Previous experience in food service or restaurant roles is required. Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with guests effectively. Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential. Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast is advantageous; experience with OpenTable is also beneficial. Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask in a busy environment. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately. Culinary experience or knowledge of food preparation techniques is desirable. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as required by the restaurant's schedule. Strong communication skills with an emphasis on guest relations and hospitality.
