This position combines event setup, catering service, guest support, and event breakdown . Most events take place on weekends , with occasional weekday opportunities based on our catering schedule. Hours and event locations will vary. Responsibilities Assist with unloading food, catering equipment, décor, and event supplies Set up buffet stations, beverage stations, serving areas, and catering displays Arrange chafing dishes, serving utensils, plates, napkins, and other service items Ensure buffet and service areas are clean, organized, and presentation-ready Assist with food service, buffet service, or passed appetizers as assigned Monitor buffet stations and replenish food, beverages, and supplies as needed Provide friendly and professional service to guests Clear plates, cups, and service items when applicable Maintain clean and organized catering areas throughout the event Assist with breakdown, packing, loading, and cleanup at the conclusion of events Work closely with the Event Lead and catering team to help create an exceptional guest experience Experience Previous experience in the food industry or catering environment is highly desirable Culinary experience or fine dining background is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with food presentation and service etiquette Proven guest services skills with a focus on guest relations and customer satisfaction Experience with banquet setups, food handling, serving, and beverage service preferred Strong attention to detail and presentation Ability to follow instructions and work well as part of a team Ability to stand and remain active for several hours Ability to lift and carry food pans, catering equipment, and event supplies Reliable transportation to assigned event locations Weekend availability This role is perfect for energetic individuals passionate about hospitality who thrive in fast-paced environments! Position Details This is an event-based independent contractor opportunity , not a regular W-2 employee position. Work is offered based on scheduled catering events and business needs.
