Dietary Aide/Server

Job description Mill City, a 93-unit assisted living and memory care community in Faribault, MN, is now hiring Dietary Aides. Qualified applicants will enjoy working with older adults and possess the ability to multitask and manage their time well, all while demonstrating highest-quality customer service.

JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for providing food service to the residents of Mill City Senior Living in a positive and friendly manner.

Services include:

dietary-related services, set-up and clean up of dining room, food preparation, serving food, and dishwashing.

Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED Same or similar previous work experience in dietary setting. Experience working with older adults in an assisted living setting.

Specialized Knowledge and Abilities:

This position requires the incumbent to: Possess a sensitivity and aptitude for working with older adults and those with physical, behavioral, or mental health challenges. Prioritize and organize work effectively and efficiently. Possess skills to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff and other customers. Possess the ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence and documentation, including medical terminology, in English. Be punctual with a good attendance record. Must demonstrate good interpersonal skills. Understand how to use, carry and be responsible for the communicator while on duty.
