Job Description
Do you enjoy working with students, staying organized, and being part of a fun, fast-paced team? Join our Nutrition Services Department and help make lunchtime a positive experience for students every day! We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Nutrition Services Line Prep and Server to support our school meal program. This is a part-time position working 9am-2pm, Monday-Thursday. What You'll Do Student Meal Service & Customer Support Greet and serve students in a friendly, welcoming manner. Process student and staff meal purchases and à la carte items using our point-of-sale system. Provide excellent customer service to students, staff, volunteers, and visitors. Administrative & Financial Support Enter and maintain student and staff meal account information. Track volunteer meal compensation records. Monitor and track à la carte sales. Kitchen & Operations Support Refill salad bars, milk coolers, and serving stations throughout meal service. Work in conjunction with the head cook to prepare and serve breakfast and lunch to students and staff within State health codes and promote wellness in students and staff. Assist with daily set up and clean up. Keep an accurate record of food produced and safety temperatures. Wipe down and sanitize tables between meal periods. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment at all times. Operate food service equipment safely and effectively. Rotate into other positions when possible or when needed, including dishroom and cashier. Team Support Work collaboratively with cooks, co-workers, volunteers, and school staff. Assist wherever needed to support daily kitchen operations. Help with special events and catering activities as assigned by the Nutrition Services Director.
