Job Description
The Lutheran Home is seeking a part-time, hospitality-minded Dining Services Server to join our healthcare community kitchen. In this detail-oriented role, you'll serve residents with care, ensure proper portioning for regular and modified diets, oversee the serving station, and help create a clean and welcoming dining and kitchen environment. The ideal candidate is adaptable, provides personalized service to residents, and upholds our core values of service, excellence, dignity, fulfillment, grace, and stewardship in every interaction. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Serve food attractively while ensuring proper temperatures and sanitation standards, recording all food temps Safely operate and maintain food service equipment Perform daily cleaning and follow sanitary guidelines Assist with ordering, receiving, and storing food supplies Support kitchen operations by promptly delivering items, running supplies, and filling in for other roles as needed Interact warmly with residents and families to meet dietary needs and preferences Properly rotate, label, and date food products Enforce infection control, safety, and disaster policies Foster teamwork between departments for efficient, coordinated food delivery and service
