Job Summary This position typically starts at $13.00 per hour + tips and works a variable schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays. Team members begin accruing PTO starting on day one, and full‑time employees are eligible for benefits after 90 days. Prepares and checks plate presentation, accuracy and ticket times for food going out of the window. Will interact with guests and should have knowledge of all menu items. Is responsible for communicating needs to the kitchen as well as other food issues. This job will also involve opening and closing side duties. Maintains assigned station and equipment in a clean and sanitary condition. How You Will Create the Extraordinary Provides superior guest service, positively affects interactions with guests and team members, and has the resilience to deal with difficult guests in all types of business conditions and the ability to work effectively and courteously with fellow team members. Responsible for pre-bussing and bussing of all guest areas including but not limited to scraping and stacking plates, cups, silverware and removal of any dirty linens, transporting dirty items to dish pit or appropriate area. Be a customer experience owner, act in ways that will surprise and delight our guests. Leave guests with positive feelings about our property and establish/maintain relationships with them. Approach each situation with a "yes we can" attitude, every guest every time. Responsible for acknowledging customers in a friendly and timely manner, addressing them by name whenever possible. Assists wait staff and host/ess as needed. Responsible for maintaining clean and organized side stations, counters and guest areas. Restocking items as required. Assist host/ess in seating patrons. Must wear black, slip resistant shoes at all times. Clean and professional appearance. Knowledge and demonstration of workplace safety procedures. Completes all company-required training within designated time frames Comply with our drug & alcohol-free workplace. Other duties as assigned. What You Will Need A high school diploma or GED equivalent, with one year experience in front of house hospitality preferred. Must be at least 18 yrs. of age. Ability to read, write, and understand English. Communicates effectively and maintains positive working relationships with guests, coworkers, and management. Must pass a required background check. Report to work in a neat and clean uniform, with slip resistant shoes. Well-groomed hair and personal hygiene are essential. Must obtain required food handlers permit. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. on a tray for a distance of up to fifty yards. Must be able to push or pull up to 50 lbs Must be able to work in a fast-paced high volume work environment Must have the physical dexterity to carry a tray Must be able to maneuver in tight, confined area Must be able to stand and walk for an entire shift continuously Must be able to pre-bus, clear, and clean tables in a section without the help of a busser Must be able to work in an environment with excessive noise levels, continuously changing temperature levels and fluctuating levels of business
