Responsibilities Greet and welcome guests promptly upon arrival, ensuring a warm and inviting atmosphere. Present menus, provide detailed information about food and beverage offerings, and make recommendations based on guest preferences. Take accurate food and drink orders using the POS system, ensuring all details are captured correctly. Serve food and beverages in a timely manner while maintaining attention to guest needs throughout their dining experience. Handle cash register transactions accurately, processing payments and providing change as necessary. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation of orders and address any special dietary requirements or requests. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including resetting tables for new guests. Uphold food handling and safety standards in accordance with health regulations. Foster positive guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring overall satisfaction. Qualifications Proven experience in customer service, preferably in a fine dining setting. Strong math skills for handling transactions and managing bills accurately. Familiarity with culinary terminology and menu items to effectively communicate with guests. Experience operating cash registers and POS systems; knowledge of Toast is a plus. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage positively with guests and team members alike. Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of food handling practices to ensure safety and quality standards are met.
