Bocca Bistro is hiring expo/ food runners to join our team in Boone, NC! Food Runner / Expo PositionJob Overview We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and fast-paced Food Runner/Expo to join our restaurant team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring food is delivered accurately, efficiently, and with urgency while maintaining communication between the kitchen and front-of-house staff. The ideal candidate works well under pressure, stays organized during busy shifts, and takes pride in maintaining a smooth and efficient service flow. Responsibilities Run food quickly and accurately to guests Verify all plates are complete and match tickets before leaving the kitchen Assist with organizing and managing the expo line during service Communicate clearly with kitchen staff and servers Ensure proper presentation and quality of food before it reaches guests Maintain cleanliness and organization of the expo area Restock plates, sauces, to-go supplies, and other service items as needed Assist servers and hosts during busy periods Help maintain a clean dining room and kitchen support areas Follow all food safety and sanitation standards Assisting guests with their dining needs as needed Extremely organized and hard working Able to focus and think ahead Providing accurate food orders and ensuring that all orders are served quickly and accurately Servicing our very popular menu in the kitchen Keeping kitchen and dining areas clean and sanitized Expectations Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset Reliable attendance and punctuality Ability to multitask and stay organized under pressure Professional appearance and communication Willingness to help wherever needed during service Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays preferred Qualifications Restaurant experience preferred but not required Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to carry trays and lift up to 40 lbs Strong communication and teamwork skills What We Offer Competitive pay Fast-paced and team-oriented environment Flexible scheduling Growth opportunities within the restaurant We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, moves with urgency, and understands the importance of teamwork in creating a great guest experience.
