Duties Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, providing detailed descriptions of dishes and beverages. Take accurate food, beverage, and cocktail orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS. Process sales transactions efficiently while handling cash, credit cards, and digital payments securely. Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness. Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, specialty cocktails, and desserts to enhance guest experience and increase sales. Maintain knowledge of wine pairings, spirits, and cocktail recipes to provide expert recommendations. Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are consistently followed during service. Assist with food preparation or bussing tables as needed to support smooth restaurant operations. Handle guest inquiries professionally, resolve issues promptly, and foster positive guest relations. Support opening or closing duties including setting up tables, cleaning work areas, and restocking supplies. Skills Proficiency with Toast POS system Strong knowledge of food industry standards including food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor. Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Culinary experience or food preparation knowledge is a plus to better assist guests with menu questions. Experience with beverage service including spirits knowledge, wine pairings, cocktail mixing (OpenTable experience is advantageous). Strong math skills for processing cash transactions accurately and managing sales reports. Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables seamlessly during busy hours.
