Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements, providing excellent guest relations from start to finish Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen and bar staff Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and sanitation Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest experience and increase sales Process cash transactions accurately, handle credit card payments via POS systems like OpenTable or other platforms, and give correct change Maintain knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques throughout service Support team members by bussing tables, assisting with food prep when needed, and ensuring the dining area remains clean and organized Experience Previous food service experience in a nice restaurant or hospitality setting is highly required; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is advantageous Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle diverse situations confidently Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service to provide expert recommendations and upselling opportunities Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy hours Basic math skills for processing sales transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities Experience in food industry roles including serving, bartending, bussing tables, or host/hostess duties enhances your fit for this energetic position Embark on a rewarding journey where your passion for hospitality shines!
