Job Description
The Serve Pickleball + Kitchen is a unique concept in Lake Norman with 16 pickleball courts, four Topgolf Swing Suite bays, a Café, Lounge, Restaurant, Bar, and an Event Room for private events. The community has embraced The Serve as a fun and safe place to gather with friends, meet with colleagues, or celebrate events, and we are growing our team to meet the demand! Our Food & Beverage team is looking for energetic Front Hosts and Server Assistants to add to our expanding staff. We're looking for team members with a customer-first mindset and a proactive attitude towards work. Our pay is above average, and we expect our team to be as well! Front hosts and server assistants are cross trained to work either position as needed. What you'll be expected to do: Engage with guests in a friendly and energetic manner, ensuring they have an exceptional experience at The Serve Greet guests as they arrive, answer, questions, direct them to their events/activities Seat guests in the restaurant according to established protocols Have a working knowledge of our menus (Bar, Restaurant, Café) and be able to answer questions or make recommendations to our guests Deliver food, refill drinks, reset tables Keep server stations and host desks stocked appropriately Communicate clearly and effectively with guests and other staff members Work as part of a team to provide optimal guest service Maintain cleanliness and organization in your assigned service area (ie. restaurant, event), in compliance with food safety standards and health regulations Manage time effectively during busy shifts to serve multiple guests efficiently while maintaining high service standards Provide attentive service and anticipate the needs of our guests Bring any customer service issues to a manager's attention immediately Applicants should have: Open and positive attitude with staff and a willingness to learn A proactive approach to work and being a team Excellent customer service skills with a customer-first attitude and the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally Commitment to being on-time and ready to work for each shift
