Job Description

Job Purpose:
The Food Runner is responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of food orders from the kitchen to the dining area, providing excellent customer service and supporting the wait staff in maintaining a smooth and enjoyable dining experience for guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver food orders from the kitchen to customers in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met. Assist with the setup and breakdown of dining areas, ensuring cleanliness and organization. Collaborate with kitchen and wait staff to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction. Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally, providing solutions or escalating issues to management as needed. Maintain knowledge of menu items and specials to assist in customer inquiries and recommendations. Support the wait staff in refilling drinks, clearing tables, and resetting for new guests. Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe and hygienic dining environment. Assist in inventory management and stock replenishment as needed.
Required Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Required Experience:
Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in the hospitality industry. Experience working in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with guests and team members. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to ensure seamless service. Excellent organizational skills to prioritize and deliver orders accurately and promptly. Physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods and carry trays of food (up to 50 pounds). Attention to detail to ensure orders are delivered correctly and meet quality standards. Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and handle unexpected situations with professionalism.
