We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Dietary Aide to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will assist in meal preparation, food service, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. Your enthusiasm for food production and dedication to excellent customer service will ensure our residents enjoy nutritious, delicious meals in a warm and welcoming setting. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the well-being of our senior community while honing your culinary skills. Prepare and serve meals that meet dietary guidelines and resident preferences, ensuring high standards of food safety and sanitation Assist with food handling, portioning, and presentation to create appealing dishes for residents Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including sanitizing surfaces, washing dishes, and proper waste disposal Support meal service by bussing tables, assisting with tray delivery, and ensuring timely food delivery during meal times Follow all food safety protocols and sanitation procedures to uphold health standards in compliance with regulations Help with inventory management by receiving deliveries, storing supplies properly, and tracking food stock levels Collaborate with dietary staff to support special dietary needs or menu modifications as required Experience working in assisted living, nursing home, hospital, or food industry environments is highly preferred Proven culinary experience with knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling safety Strong time management skills to efficiently prepare meals within scheduled times Familiarity with dietary department procedures and food service operations Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with residents and team members Ability to maintain cleanliness standards through proper sanitation practices Prior dietary aide or kitchen experience is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is valued Join us at Blakey Hall Retirement Community where your passion for food and caring service can make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents!
