Job Overview:
Cape Fear Boil Company is seeking reliable, hardworking, and customer-focused individuals to join our catering team for the busy summer season. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, interacting with people, and being part of a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Caterers are responsible for executing on-site seafood boil events from start to finish, ensuring every guest has a high-quality and memorable experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive to the company shop to prepare and load all necessary food, equipment, and supplies for scheduled events Safely transport all items from the shop to event locations (homes, vacation rentals, beaches, and venues) Set up cooking stations and serving areas in a clean, organized, and professional manner Prepare and cook seafood boils on-site according to company standards Serve food to guests in a friendly, engaging, and professional way Maintain a clean and efficient work area throughout the event Break down, clean, and pack all equipment after the event concludes Complete event checkout procedures, including inventory checks and basic reporting Drive back from event locations and assist with unloading/closing duties as needed
Qualifications:
Valid driver's license and clean driving record Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment (50+ lbs) Strong work ethic and reliability Comfortable working in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays during peak season Prior food service, catering, or hospitality experience is a plus (but not required)
