Job Description

Position Purpose/Summary:
The Server at Olivero plays a vital role in delivering exceptional guest experiences by providing attentive and efficient service. The Server is responsible for guiding guests through their dining journey, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a seamless and memorable dining experience.
Guest Interaction:
Greet and welcome guests warmly, offering a genuine and personalized dining experience.
Order Taking:
Accurately take food and beverage orders, ensuring guest preferences and dietary restrictions are noted.
Menu Knowledge:
Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and preparation techniques to provide recommendations and answer guest queries.
Timely Service:
Efficiently communicate orders to the kitchen and bar, ensuring prompt delivery of food and beverages to tables.
Table Maintenance:
Set up, clean, and maintain tables, ensuring they are properly set with appropriate utensils, glassware, and condiments.
Upselling and Suggestive Selling:
Enhance guest experience by suggesting additional items, promotions, or specials to maximize guest satisfaction and revenue.
Billing and Payment:
Present accurate bills and process payments in a timely manner, handling cash and electronic transactions securely.
Team Collaboration:
Coordinate effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth and coordinated service.
Guest Engagement:
Interact with guests during their dining experience, addressing any concerns and ensuring their needs are met.
Cleanliness and Hygiene:
Adhere to health and safety standards, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Problem Resolution:
Address guest complaints or issues with professionalism and provide appropriate solutions.
Knowledge of POS System:
Utilize the POS system (e.g., Toast) for order processing, billing, and guest management.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Strong customer service skills with a friendly and welcoming demeanor. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Menu knowledge and the ability to explain dishes and ingredients to guests. Proficient in using POS systems for order entry and payment processing. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Attention to detail and accuracy in order taking and billing. Basic math skills for handling transactions and providing correct change. Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
