This is a server position for The Great American Grill located in the Hilton Garden Inn hotel. Breakfast and possibly some Bartender/Dinner service. Dinner service servers must have previous bartending experience as they will act as a server/bartender. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and a strong understanding of the food and beverage industry. This is a full service restaurant. As a Server, you will be responsible for ensuring that guests have a memorable dining experience through attentive service, menu knowledge, and effective communication. Hourly pay is $7.25 + tips. Responsibilities Greet and welcome guests in a friendly manner, providing them with menus and information about daily specials. Take accurate food and beverage orders using the Aloha POS or Micros POS systems. Provide recommendations and upsell menu items to enhance the guest experience. Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to tables, maintaining high standards of presentation. Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience, addressing any concerns promptly. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure accurate order preparation and timely service. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables as needed. Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines during food handling and preparation. Process payments accurately through cash handling and basic math skills. Assist with hosting duties as needed, ensuring smooth guest relations from arrival to departure. Qualifications Previous restaurant experience in a server role is preferred, particularly in fine dining or nightlife settings. Familiarity with Aloha POS, Micros POS, OpenTable, or similar systems is highly desirable. Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on guest satisfaction and hospitality. Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours. Basic math skills for accurate order processing and cash handling. Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices in food service environments. Culinary experience or kitchen background is a plus but not required. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating independence when necessary.
