Job Description

RiverWoods Manchester, a resident-centered non-profit CCRC, is seeking a compassionate Server to support dining services for independent and assisted living residents. In this role, you will greet and seat residents, present menus, accurately take and deliver food and beverage orders, and ensure an enjoyable, dignified dining experience. You'll maintain clean, safe dining areas, follow proper food safety and sanitization procedures, and collaborate with kitchen and care teams. This position offers meaningful resident relationships, teamwork, training, and opportunities for growth in a mission-driven senior living community. Responsibilities Welcome, seat, and engage with residents in a friendly, respectful manner Present menus, answer basic questions, and take accurate food and beverage orders Serve meals and beverages promptly, following special dietary needs and preferences Clear tables, reset dining areas, and maintain a clean, safe environment Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection-control standards Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order delivery Assist with setup and breakdown of dining rooms for daily service and events Monitor resident needs and promptly communicate concerns to appropriate staff Handle basic point-of-sale or ticketing procedures as required Support a collaborative, resident-centered dining experience aligned with community values Required Skills Customer service Point-of-sale (POS) operation Food safety and sanitation Basic knowledge of special diets Order taking and accuracy Time management Teamwork and communication Dining room setup and breakdown Cleaning and bussing procedures Infection control awareness
