Full Job Description Server Duties:
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner
- Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently
- Provide menu recommendations and answer any questions about the menu
- Upsell additional items, such as appetizers, desserts, or specialty drinks
- Enter orders into the Aloha POS system accurately
- Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely manner
- Check on guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction
- Clear tables and reset them for the next guests
- Sanitize tables, chairs, and other surfaces in between guests
- Assist with bussing duties as needed
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure accurate and timely order preparation
- Handle cash transactions and process payments
Skills:
- Strong hospitality skills with a focus on providing excellent customer service
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating bills
- Previous experience in food service or a similar role is preferred but not required
- Ability to upsell and make menu recommendations to enhance the guest experience
- Familiarity with Aloha POS system is a plus, but training will be provided
- Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly
- Knowledge of proper sanitation practices in a restaurant setting
