Job Overview Join our vibrant team as a Server/Cashier, where you'll be the friendly face that creates memorable experiences for our guests. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food service, sales, and hospitality within a lively café or quick-service restaurant setting. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly and take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS. Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness. Handle cash, credit card transactions, and process payments efficiently with POS systems, ensuring accuracy in cash handling and retail math. Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales through friendly recommendations. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and adhering to food safety guidelines. Assist in food preparation when needed, supporting kitchen staff with basic culinary tasks to ensure smooth operations. Support food handling procedures, sanitation protocols, and proper food storage practices to uphold health regulations. Engage with guests to provide excellent customer service, address inquiries, and resolve issues promptly to ensure satisfaction. Skills Proven experience in food service or quick-service restaurants with a solid understanding of serving and cashiering duties. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient order processing and cash handling. Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and the ability to upsell menu items confidently. Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and managing transactions accurately. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing time efficiently. Previous restaurant experience or background in the food industry is highly desirable; kitchen experience is a plus.
