Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and a keen understanding of the food and beverage industry. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and sanitation. Responsibilities Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner. Take food and beverage orders accurately using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems. Provide detailed menu information, including daily specials, to enhance guest experience. Upsell menu items to maximize sales opportunities. Deliver food and beverages promptly while ensuring presentation meets restaurant standards. Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience, addressing any concerns promptly. Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and managing cash handling procedures. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and resetting for new guests. Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe dining environment. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery. Experience Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred. Fine dining experience is a plus, showcasing an understanding of high-quality guest service standards. Familiarity with OpenTable or similar reservation systems is advantageous. Culinary experience or knowledge of food preparation techniques is beneficial. Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tables and prioritize tasks effectively. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with guests. Basic math skills for accurate order processing and cash handling. Knowledge of sanitation practices and food safety regulations is essential.
