In this vital role, you'll serve as the essential link between the kitchen and the front of house, ensuring that food is delivered promptly, accurately, and with a smile. Your proactive approach and excellent communication skills will help create a lively, welcoming atmosphere that keeps guests happy and staff running smoothly. Duties Efficiently deliver prepared food from the kitchen to guests' tables, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met. Assist in organizing and plating dishes during busy service times to support kitchen staff. Ensure all food handling and serving procedures comply with food safety regulations and hygiene standards. Buss tables by clearing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and resetting tables quickly to maintain a clean dining area. Support with light cleaning duties in the service area, including sweeping, wiping down counters, and maintaining overall cleanliness. Handle heavy lifting safely when transporting large trays or boxes of supplies, following proper lifting practices. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS to coordinate orders seamlessly. Skills Previous food service experience or restaurant background is highly preferred for understanding workflow and customer expectations. Strong communication skills to coordinate efficiently with kitchen staff and serve guests professionally. Knowledge of food safety protocols, proper food handling, and sanitation practices. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with safe lifting practices. Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order management. Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that enhances the dining experience. Basic cleaning and bussing skills to maintain a tidy work environment throughout shifts.
