In-Person Reports to: Inn Staff Manager About Smoke Rise Village Inn The Smoke Rise Village Inn is a vibrant restaurant and catering facility nestled within the private Smoke Rise community. Known for high-quality cuisine and impeccable presentation, we specialize in hosting events that deliver memorable experiences. With a full-service à la carte restaurant featuring seasonally inspired menus and private dining rooms, the Smoke Rise Village Inn offers exceptional hospitality and service. Position Summary As a Busser / Food Runner at the Smoke Rise Village Inn, you serve a key support role in both front-of-house and kitchen operations. You are responsible for maintaining a clean and organized dining area and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of food from the kitchen to guests. This hybrid role is ideal for individuals who are team-oriented, detail-focused, and eager to contribute to a smooth and elevated dining experience. Key Responsibilities- Set and reset tables with appropriate place settings, linens, and utensils.
- Clear dirty dishes, glassware, and silverware from tables in a timely and discreet manner.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining room, including floors, chairs, service stations, and restrooms.
- Deliver food orders from the kitchen to tables promptly and accurately.
- Confirm food items match order tickets and accommodate any special instructions.
- Assist waitstaff with drink refills, guest requests, and resetting tables between seatings.
- Restock necessary supplies (napkins, utensils, condiments) throughout service.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery and presentation of food.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure excellent service flow.
- Support event setup and breakdown as needed for private functions and banquets.
- Adhere to all safety, sanitation, and health codes. Minimum Qualifications
- Prior experience in food service or hospitality preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and multitasking skills.
- Team-player attitude and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation guidelines is a plus. Schedule
