Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including plating and garnishing dishes to uphold quality standards. Clear and reset tables efficiently by bussing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and maintaining a tidy dining area. Support the front-of-house team by taking in-person orders, handling POS (Point of Sale) systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS, and assisting with cashiering duties when required. Maintain food safety and sanitation standards by properly handling food items, cleaning workstations, and adhering to health regulations. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding order modifications or special requests to ensure guest satisfaction. Provide exceptional guest service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions about menu items, and ensuring their dining experience is enjoyable from start to finish. Skills Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments, including host/hostess roles or catering experience. Knowledge of food preparation techniques, dishwashing procedures, and basic food handling safety protocols. Strong communication skills for interacting with guests and team members clearly and professionally. Ability to perform basic math calculations for order accuracy and cash handling responsibilities. Familiarity with beverage preparation, coffee or barista experience is a plus. Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; cashiering skills are highly valued. Knowledge of food safety standards, dishwashing procedures, and proper sanitation practices. Customer service expertise with a friendly attitude that enhances guest relations and guest services.
