We are hiring polished, reliable, and hardworking Event Server & Catering to join our growing hospitality team. This is an event-based position for hospitality professionals who are comfortable supporting both front-of-house service and catering operations . Depending on the assignment, team members may assist with banquet service, buffet and food stations, basic food preparation, catering setup, kitchen support, event breakdown, and general event operations. Assignments may include weddings, corporate events, private parties, catering events, banquet venues, country clubs, hotels, and other special events. We are looking for individuals who take hospitality seriously, communicate professionally, arrive prepared and on time, and are comfortable stepping into different catering and event environments while maintaining a high standard of service. Responsibilities Provide professional food and beverage service when assigned to guest-facing positions Assist catering teams with event preparation and food service operations Set up tables, dining areas, buffets, food stations, cocktail stations, and catering equipment Assist with preparing and organizing food stations before and during service Support kitchen and culinary teams with basic food preparation, plating, portioning, and station preparation Assist line cooks and catering staff with keeping food stations stocked and organized Serve plated meals, passed hors d'oeuvres, beverages, buffet items, and other event food Carry and properly handle serving trays, plates, food pans, and event equipment Clear plates, glassware, silverware, and service items efficiently Maintain clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen, service, and event areas Replenish food, beverages, utensils, and supplies during events Follow instructions from chefs, catering managers, event captains, banquet managers, and venue leadership Assist with event setup and breakdown as required Reset tables, food stations, and service areas throughout events Communicate professionally with guests, coworkers, and management Learn event-specific procedures, floor plans, and station assignments during pre-shift briefings Follow proper food handling, sanitation, grooming, safety, and uniform standards Support other team members to ensure smooth and efficient event execution What We're Looking For Previous banquet, catering, restaurant, kitchen, hotel, country club, wedding venue, or event experience is preferred Experience with catering preparation, food stations, kitchen support, or banquet service is a plus Strong communication and teamwork skills Professional appearance and attitude Reliable and punctual Comfortable working in fast-paced catering and event environments Ability to take direction from chefs, catering managers, captains, and supervisors Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods Ability to safely carry trays, plates, food pans, supplies, and event equipment as required Comfortable assisting with both front-of-house and back-of-house responsibilities Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on event schedules Reliable transportation or the ability to consistently travel to assignments Comfortable receiving assignments at different venues and catering locations Must arrive in the required uniform and be fully prepared for each assignment Ideal Candidates This opportunity is a strong fit for: Experienced banquet and catering servers Catering assistants and catering support staff Restaurant servers looking for additional event work Kitchen and food preparation staff looking for flexible assignments Line cook or prep cook assistants with catering experience Hospitality professionals seeking flexible scheduling College students with hospitality or food-service experience and flexible availability Experienced event staff looking to pick up additional New Jersey assignments Hospitality professionals comfortable working at multiple venues and catering locations rather than one permanent location We are looking for people who want to become part of a dependable hospitality team and build a strong track record across upcoming catering and event assignments.
