Job Description
We are looking for Food Runners and Bussers to provide restaurant support and ensure that guests receive prompt and proper service. You will be responsible for providing support to the waitstaff by performing tasks such as pouring water, delivering food, and clearing tables. Food Runners and Bussers must be prepared for a fast-paced environment and have a keen eye for detail. Communication skills and a team-oriented mindset will set apart the best among the candidates. Our venue is unique as it is not merely a restaurant, but a working farm and winery, open every day, year round. All members of our team will be trained to know about all products that we offer and will be educated on our vineyards, wines, and the productions process. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a seasonal position with full-time and part-time schedules available, to include nights, weekends and holidays. Typical shifts could be 11am-4/5pm, 4pm-8/9pm, or double shifts of 11am-8/9pm. Compensation This is support staff position with a direct wage of $11 per hour plus cash tips based on server sales. Tips in-season can range, on average, from $7-15 per hour additional. Responsibilities Promote and portray the Willow Creek Winery and Wilde Hospitality Group values. Understand restaurant seating and layout. Set tables for wait staff and clear tables. Bring water to tables and refill water throughout guests' dining experience. Bring bus pans to dishwashers. Transport kitchen from food to the proper table. Provide support to servers as needed. Assist customers as needed. Assist in resetting floor plans as necessary. Clean restaurant messes. Sweep and mop. Take out trash and recycling. Assist team with tasks as needed. Work closely with food expeditor when performing food runner duties. Monitor customer satisfaction and notify servers and/or managers of any issues. Skills Must be able to lift 30 pounds (carry bus pans and trays of food). Self-starter and team-player when needed. Energetic, friendly, positive attitude. Problem solver. Must be able to follow processes, policies, and procedures. Good spoken communication skills. Accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to handle stress and remain calm. Required Education and Experience Prior restaurant experience preferred.
