Food Prep / Runner

Brakes & Briskets is looking for a Food Preparer / Runner to join our team in White House Station, NJ. This position is currently part-time, with full time hours being added.

Requirements:

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Experience a must Must carry multiple plates of food without a tray This position requires the ability to work at a quick pace and effectively communicate with coworkers and customers Duties may include but are not limited to: running food, clearing tables, wrapping/bagging food items Essential Duties and Responsibilities You'll play a crucial role in supporting kitchen staff, serving, and preparing orders for catering pick up If you thrive in a dynamic environment and prefer working behind the scenes, this role is perfect for you! Support restaurant operations by organizing and storing dish loads and assisting with kitchen tasks, including food prep work Aid in receiving products, rotating stock, and maintaining kitchen organization and cleanliness Ensure the kitchen and dishwashing area are clean and presentable to facilitate effective and safe work environments Qualifications Detail-oriented with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting Willingness to perform various tasks to support restaurant operations Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a team environment Works well independently and in a team environment Flexible schedule availability, weekends, and holidays are a plus Ability to lift and carry 20-50 lbs and stand for long periods Location Whitehouse Station to be part of the Brakes & Briskets team.
