Responsibilities Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, providing detailed descriptions of dishes, drinks, and specials. Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely processing of sales transactions. Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and sanitation in accordance with food safety guidelines. Upsell menu items including cocktails, wines, spirits, and desserts to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales. Manage cash handling and processing payments accurately through POS systems like OpenTable or other restaurant software. Assist with food preparation, beverage service, bussing tables, and maintaining a clean dining area to promote a welcoming atmosphere. Build positive guest relations by providing attentive service, addressing questions about menu items such as wine knowledge or cocktail options, and ensuring guest needs are met promptly. Skills Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, including fine dining or nightclub settings. Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms for sales transaction processing. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally. Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing time efficiently. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. Experience with beverage service including spirits, cocktails, wine knowledge, and drink presentation.
