This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in the food industry while working in a lively, guest-focused setting. Duties Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements as a host or hostess, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere Take orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, and process transactions efficiently with cash handling and basic math skills Provide attentive table service, upselling menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales through suggestive selling techniques like OpenTable reservations and upselling strategies Support food preparation, food handling, and sanitation standards to maintain cleanliness and safety in compliance with food safety regulations Assist with bussing tables, cleaning dining areas, and supporting kitchen staff with food prep or basic kitchen tasks when needed Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries promptly, resolving concerns professionally, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, specials, and restaurant policies to provide accurate information to guests Experience Previous experience in food service or hospitality roles such as server, host/hostess, busser, or bartender is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS enhances efficiency but training will be provided Experience in fine dining environments or nightclubs is a plus for those seeking to elevate their hospitality skills Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables or tasks simultaneously during busy periods Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures is highly desirable Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally Basic math proficiency for cash handling and billing accuracy Join us for an exciting seasonal opportunity where your energy and dedication will shine!
