Duties Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed descriptions of food and beverage options, including wine and spirits knowledge. Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable, ensuring efficient processing of sales transactions. Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation. Upsell menu items, drinks, and specials to enhance guest experiences and increase sales revenue. Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, process payments, and provide correct change or receipts. Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations; bus tables as needed to ensure a tidy environment. Engage with guests to foster positive relationships, address inquiries or concerns promptly, and ensure overall guest satisfaction. Skills Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, including fine dining or nightclub settings. Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms; experience with Food industry software like OpenTable is a plus. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to connect with diverse guests and handle guest relations professionally. Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures. Ability to perform basic math accurately for processing bills, tips, and cash transactions. Culinary experience or beverage expertise in spirits, wine knowledge, cocktail preparation, and drink service. Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy hours while maintaining attention to detail.
