Duties Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, providing detailed descriptions of dishes and drinks to enhance the dining experience Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely processing of sales transactions Serve food and beverages efficiently, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks, demonstrating beverage service expertise Upsell menu items, specials, or beverages to maximize sales while maintaining genuine guest relations Manage cash handling and processing payments accurately using POS systems like OpenTable or other restaurant software Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards through proper food handling, bussing tables, and adhering to food safety protocols Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any guest concerns promptly Assist with food preparation or setup as needed in a fine dining environment or casual setting Support guest relations by providing attentive service, answering questions about menu items, and accommodating special requests Experience Previous food service experience in a restaurant setting is highly preferred; fine dining experience is a plus Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques is desirable Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during busy hours Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and positive approach to guest interactions Basic math skills for processing sales transactions accurately and handling cash confidently Experience with food safety standards and sanitation practices in the food industry is essential Culinary or kitchen experience can be beneficial but is not mandatory; a passion for hospitality is key Join us to be part of an energetic team dedicated to delivering outstanding service!
