Quick-Service Counter / Beer Server Dotty Lou's BBQ - Latham, NY Full-Time & Part-Time Positions Available Dotty Lou's BBQ is hiring friendly, dependable Quick-Service Counter / Beer Servers for our new Latham location. This is a fast-paced front-of-house position combining counter service, order taking, guest interaction, beer service, pickup/expo, and dining-room support. We're looking for people who can provide great hospitality while keeping our quick-service operation moving efficiently. Responsibilities Greet guests and provide friendly, efficient counter service Take food and beverage orders accurately using the POS system Process cash and credit-card payments Serve beer and other approved alcoholic beverages Check identification and follow all alcohol-service laws and restaurant policies Explain menu items, BBQ selections, sides, specials, desserts, and beverages Make recommendations and help increase dessert and beverage sales Coordinate with the BBQ line and kitchen to keep orders moving Manage the pickup area and make sure completed orders reach the correct guests Maintain the beverage station, sauce station, counter, and guest areas Stock cups, napkins, sauces, beer, beverages, and service supplies Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the front of house Assist with opening and closing duties Help maintain an organized customer line and smooth flow from order → pay → pickup → seating Support takeout and online orders as needed What We're Looking For Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable interacting with guests Reliable and punctual Able to work quickly while maintaining accuracy Strong communication and teamwork skills Comfortable handling money and using a POS system Able to remain organized during busy lunch and dinner periods Previous restaurant, counter-service, cashier, bar, or serving experience is preferred Must meet all legal requirements for serving alcoholic beverages Availability for evenings and weekends is preferred What We Offer Competitive pay Paid time off Employee meals Full-time and part-time opportunities Consistent scheduling Opportunity to earn additional hours and advance into lead or management roles Fast-paced, team-oriented work environment Opportunity to grow with Dotty Lou's BBQ as we expand our Latham operation About Dotty Lou's BBQ Dotty Lou's BBQ combines Texas-style smoked meats and comfort food with a fast, approachable counter-service experience.
