3:00 PM-8:00 PM Closed Saturdays & Sundays Position Details This position will begin at 1-2 shifts per week during our current seasonal slowdown. As business continues to grow, including our expanding private event calendar, additional shifts and hours will become available. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday availability is required. We are unable to accommodate fixed or recurring schedules. Team members must have flexible weekday evening availability based on business needs. Opportunities to work private events, corporate receptions, buyouts, and ticketed experiences are available throughout the year. About Highball Highball LTD is the newest concept from the team behind the iconic East Village speakeasy PDT (Please Don't Tell), along with Mixteca and Kees in the West Village. Located on the 11th floor of 10 Grand Central, Highball celebrates classic cocktails and elevated hospitality in a space inspired by the golden age of rail travel. In addition to nightly dinner service, Highball hosts private events, corporate receptions, wine tastings, and full restaurant buyouts, providing team members with opportunities for additional shifts as our event business continues to grow. Position Summary Servers are responsible for delivering warm, knowledgeable, and attentive service while creating memorable guest experiences from arrival through departure. This role requires strong food and beverage knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to anticipate guest needs in a polished yet approachable environment. Servers guide guests through our food and beverage offerings, provide thoughtful recommendations, ensure accurate order execution, communicate effectively with the kitchen and bar teams, and maintain a clean, organized dining room throughout service. We're looking for hospitality professionals who thrive in a team environment, enjoy building relationships with guests, and take pride in creating exceptional experiences every shift. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of serving experience in an upscale restaurant, cocktail bar, hotel, or hospitality venue preferred. Strong food, wine, cocktail, and spirits knowledge or a willingness to learn. Excellent communication and hospitality skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Comfortable carrying trays, standing for extended periods, and lifting up to 50 lbs. TIPS Certification preferred. NYC Food Protection Certificate or ServSafe Certification preferred.
