Job Description

We are seeking a professional, energetic, and hospitality-driven Server to join our Food & Beverage team. The ideal candidate understands that country club service goes beyond simply taking orders—it is about creating an exceptional and personalized member experience. The Server will provide attentive, polished, and efficient service throughout the Club's à la carte dining areas, bars and beverage service areas, private parties, banquets, golf events, and special club events. Candidates should have strong communication skills, beverage and food knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to anticipate members' needs while maintaining the standards and traditions of a private country club. Essential Responsibilities Member Experience & Hospitality
  • Provide warm, professional, and personalized service to members and their guests.
  • Greet members promptly and professionally.
  • Learn and appropriately use members' names whenever possible.
  • Become familiar with member preferences, dietary restrictions, and service expectations.
  • Anticipate member needs rather than waiting to be asked.
  • Maintain a positive, polished, and approachable presence throughout service.
  • Handle member questions, concerns, and special requests professionally.
  • Communicate concerns or service issues immediately to management.
  • Maintain member privacy, professionalism, and discretion at all times.
  • Work with the entire team to create a welcoming country club atmosphere. À La Carte Dining Service
  • Properly set and maintain tables according to Club standards.
  • Present menus and explain daily specials and featured items.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of menu ingredients, preparation methods, allergens, and dietary accommodations.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders.
  • Enter orders correctly and promptly into the POS system.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen, bartenders, runners, bussers, and management.
  • Follow proper coursing and timing of appetizers, entrées, desserts, and beverages.
  • Perform table maintenance throughout the dining experience.
  • Clear and reset tables professionally and efficiently.
  • Check back with members appropriately without interrupting their experience.
  • Present checks accurately and follow Club procedures for member account charges.
  • Complete opening, running, and closing side work. Beverage & Wine Service
  • Maintain working knowledge of the Club's wine, beer, spirits, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverage offerings.
  • Make appropriate beverage recommendations based on member preferences and menu selections.
  • Understand basic wine varietals, regions, flavor profiles, and food pairings.
  • Properly present, open, and serve bottles of wine.
  • Follow correct glassware and beverage presentation standards.
  • Monitor beverages and provide refills or additional drinks without unnecessary delays.
  • Communicate effectively with bartenders regarding beverage orders and special requests.
  • Follow all Club policies and applicable laws regarding responsible alcohol service
