Manage customer orders efficiently through food service customer order management systems, ensuring timely delivery. Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities. Operate kitchen equipment safely and assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed. Maintain a clean workspace by bussing tables, sanitizing surfaces, and ensuring proper sanitation practices are followed throughout your shift. Process cash transactions accurately, handle cash register operations, and manage retail sales transactions with precision. Support food handling procedures to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper hygiene standards. Assist in operating POS systems for retail or café sales, including processing payments and issuing receipts. Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating with colleagues to deliver excellent service consistently. Experience Previous experience in quick service or fast-food restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key! Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous. Prior food service experience including serving, bussing, or cashiering helps you hit the ground running. Basic math skills are essential for processing cash transactions accurately and managing retail math calculations. Experience with operating kitchen equipment or working in a café or grocery store setting is a plus. Strong customer service skills combined with excellent time management enable you to handle busy periods effectively.
