Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a fast, friendly, and reliable Server to join our busy diner team. As the face of our restaurant, you'll welcome regulars and newcomers alike, taking orders quickly and keeping the coffee flowing. If you thrive in a high-energy environment, love connecting with people, and can balance multiple tables with a smile, you'll fit right in. Key Responsibilities 1. Guest Hospitality & Ordering Greet guests warmly, seat them efficiently, and present menus. Memorize our extensive menu, including daily blueprints, breakfast-all-day options, and rotating desserts. Take food and beverage orders accurately, using our POS system, and repeating orders back to ensure precision. Anticipate guest needs—especially keeping coffee mugs and water glasses topped off without being asked. 2. Service Execution & Side Work Deliver hot food and cold drinks promptly from the kitchen/service bar to tables. Pre-bus tables by clearing empty plates, napkins, and glassware as guests finish. Total receipts, process cash and card payments accurately, and make correct change. Perform opening, running, and closing side duties (e.g., rolling silverware, wiping down menus, restocking condiment caddies, refilling sugar dispensers). 3. Efficiency & Cleanliness Clean and sanitize tables, booths, and highchairs immediately after guests leave to ensure quick turnover. Cooperate closely with the short-order cooks and counter staff to keep orders moving smoothly. Handle any guest complaints with patience, bringing in a manager if a situation requires extra attention.
